The hammer on the anvil smote,
The chisel carved, and the engraver wrote;
The blade was forged,
and all bound with runes;
behold the hilt!
And now unearthed from those forgotten forges we bring you The Lonely Mountain Blade - The Sword of the Dwarf Kings!
We are overwhelmed to present to you the official blade from the folk-fantasy music project - The Lonely Mountain Band.
You have heard the music from long ages past; the bard has sung the prayer of the bladesmith, and now the song of hammer and anvil brings you this treasured blade that would strike fear into the heart of any orc or goblin who was unlucky enough to cross it's path.
Behold the hilt: When held upright in the hand of the dwarf-lord his vision is projected beyond the battle at-hand, as he beholds the visage of three peaks and the heritage of his mountain homeland. Some have even said, when the light is just right on Durin's Day, the bearer may see the shadow of the three peaks upon the blade!
It calls to mind all that he holds dear and defends, inspiring his dwarven war-cry as he charges into battle!
When viewed with the blade pointing to the earth, the crossguard emblem bears the shape of a large precious stone found in the heart of the mountains! When not defending the mountains, there are riches to be found and kingdoms to be built under the mountains!
The runic acronym "LMB" is skillfully engraved upon the center emblem to commemorate all the songs of the Lonely Mountain Band, and our kinship in arms! The blade itself bears the skillful craft of angular dwarven design. Soft silvan lines of the forest dwelling elves are not found here! HA!
No, this is a sword of the dwarves, and now you too can join the marching ranks of the Lonely Mountain Band showing your allegiance as a fan of the music, or perhaps you are one of the devoted members of the LOTRO kinship Lonely Mountain Band, and you desire a memorial to your adventures with this gaming guild who may be "far apart, but never alone!"
Yet perhaps you are simply a fantasy or sword enthusiast who seeks to add your collection of unique and rare enchanted blades! All are welcomed to share in the glory of owning your own Sword of the Dwarves - The Lonely Mountain Blade!
Designed by famed bladesmith & illustrator David DelaGardelle of Cedarlore Forge, the original illustration appeared in the liner notes of the Lonely Mountain Band album "Songs of the Dwarves." David's bladesmithing skill and signature designs are legendary; bringing to life such swords as "The Sword of Heimdall" for the MARVEL movie THOR and many other swords from myth, legend and literature. David's design has beautifully captured the spirit of dwarven aesthetics, now brought to life in forges of our own age of man. It should be noted that David created the design of the sword, & LMB commissioned a replica sword manufacturer to recreate David's design for the decorative sword replica collector. To be clear - these individual swords are NOT personally hand-forged by Cedarlore forge. Battle-ready hand forged swords are extremely expensive and time-consuming to create. For the average person, these high-quality replicas are the next best thing to owning a real hand-forged blade. Please email LonelyMountainBand@ProtonMail.com for any questions.
Ancient swords from history & mythology often bore a unique name, giving them personality and power. We have left this sword unnamed, and simply identified as "The Dwarven Sword," allowing you to give your sword it's own name. As these swords are individually replicated, each one has minor differences and characteristics, further calling for you to name your sword upon it's arrival at your own feasting hall!
"Let us brood upon the craft
Handed down by The Fathers.
The hammer felt light in my hand today,
I thank The Maker for this dwarven blade!"
